“This is a thing I’m struggling with. I used to have a clear answer for this. I wasn’t originally a programmer. So I’d have my day job, then come home and spend every second on programming. Learning, researching, practicing. But now I have a job as a programmer.

So I have all this hobby time. I’ve been spending it on comforting things. I find myself drawn to comfort. But I’m not good at introducing new things, new adventurous things. I don’t have a good balance of that.

I find it helps to do new things with friends. It’s easier for me to commit to something with someone.”
